Hi I’m Robyn - the heart behind Barefoot Luxe Vacations

My love for travel began when I was 18 years old on my very first trip outside of the country to Manzanillo, Mexico. From the moment I stepped off the plane and saw a palm tree for the first time, felt the intense heat of the sun and that warm ocean breeze I knew travel was going to be a big part of my life going forward. Experiencing new cultures and the excitement of discovering somewhere completely different sparked a passion that has stayed with me for more than 35 years.

I was fortunate to land at J. Beeley’s Travel Center in Methuen and meet my mentor, Judy Beeley. I was taught by the best, not only how to sell travel but how to create a business of my own with loyal clients. From J. Beeley’s travel to AAA Travel, having kids and finally it was my time to start Michaud Travel Consultants. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of planning incredible vacations for clients traveling all over the world. With Michaud Travel I created a niche of booking private guided tours throughout Europe as well as European River cruising.

While these destinations are wonderful and I will continue to book through Michaud Travel Consultants, I have been missing what truly got me hooked…… the Caribbean Islands! When I travel to the Caribbean I still have that same feeling I had my very first trip out of the country. That feeling of relaxation when your shoulders drop, you put your face to the sun and breathe in the warm salty air, this is what brought Barefoot Luxe Vacations to life.
